Mouse over descriptions

How would i completly remove the mouse over feature that shows descriptions?

i don't need it, and i find it annoying a little bit.

in case your wondering, my boss has asked me to to this, and if he likes the final result, donations are in the pipeline (he hates free stuff... lol)

Disable Javascript in your browser. It will get rid of the pop-up decriptions, but also wont allow any fancy navigation on other sites.

(Sorry, am half asleep. That will disable mouse over on a web page. Not sure about windows [probably a registry tweak])

i haven't tested this in a clean installation yet as im still compiling installation package

is there a older version available that were this feature wasn't added?

the software packages are done with AI snapshot, so none of the advanced features are required

Do you want to kill the tooltips for the buttons on the left?

All of the rest will not show tooltips unless you designate a description.

Also sadly I have no older versions because my PSU went up in smoke and it took my back-up drive with it.

I can do this for you all it will take is for me to send you a modified file.

All i really need is the program selections, select the programs we need then click next... nothing fancy really. we set up around 30 computers a day, this is going to make life hell of a lot easier

All of the other buttons (options, config, show source, audio, manual) can all be disabled in the options wizard.

I can make a theme file for you that will not show even the selections buttons. All you would have then is just "begin install" and they would just choose software and begin.

So do you want the modified file for no tooltips?

i've found a copy of "WPI_December_12th_2003_4_12a.rar"

i guess something similar to that without the tooltips would be great

Well do you want to use the current version or the older version.

If the one you want to use is the newer one I will need to now what theme you will be using.

If it is the older one you will need to provide it for me. (I would use the newer one as all of the new features can be disabled but you keep the increased funcionality)

Also do you want the version # to show in the interface or would you like something else to show, or nothing at all?

I will customize the hell out of it if you want. No prob.

That version you found is one of the first versions and you will be missing ALOT of features and funcionalilty.

thankyou, im currently wonting to use the classic theme as it the same as windows setup

and i guess with the new source code as everyone is familar with that i case of futher problems (I hope doesn't happen)

i've already tried removeing all of the "onmouseover" cmds, but it only seems to work in the side menu, but it still leaves the software descriptions onmouseover

umm... i'd leave it to reflect the software version of the insallation disc

For the decriptions on the progs just delete all of the description entries in config.
