sata 3gb

hi all quick, question, i'm thinking of upgrading my hdd to sata. now i have sata 150 built into my board , but if i buy a sata 3gb drive is it backwards compatible with the sata 150? and also i have the power adapters from molex to sata. do these drives require specific wattage psu's?

they are backwards compatible, the hitachi are at least, not sure about the WD but they should be. these drives dont need any different power.

The WD use a jumper for backwards compatibility (you have to set it on Sata 150 tranfer mode operation).
