September 17, 200520 yr i've run xpcreate numerous times so far but am getting three different error messges, each during different executions of the program. sharing violation all finished push enter - screen closes and nothing happens cd not createdalso is there a place where people could get a list of the error message numbers and see what the error is?thanks!
September 19, 200520 yr can you post your xpcreate.ini file here? I think the solution for these two: all finished push enter - screen closes and nothing happenscd not created is in there:EXITQUIET=YESDOCD=NOSharing violation can be the result of virusscanner and/or the missing line STARTSWITCH=/WAIT /MIN in xpcreate.ini Edited September 20, 200520 yr by Glowy
September 19, 200520 yr Author ok i think i'm ok now but have another problem. when program gets to the service pack part i get message that it's not a valid win32 program. i downloaded it from the ms web site. any idea why?
September 20, 200520 yr Does it give you the error when you manually start the SP?if so it's probably corrupted. try re-downloading (disable all downloadmanagers)
September 22, 200520 yr Also, you could try copying *all* the files from your original XP cd to a place on your hard drive i.e.C:\sources\XPCDand then manually slipstream Service Pack 2 into that source using the command in a command prompt:<name of the sp2 file.exe> /integrate:C:\sources\xpcd[Edited with corrections - thanks peter ]Then you can modify the XPCREATE.ini file to tell XPCREATE to use the source as C:\sources\XPCD instead of a cd.This also means xpcreate doesnt have to intergrate the service pack which should speed things up a bit for you RegardsN.
