GST1 Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 Hi Guys,I hope this is the right forum. I have searched and cannot find the answer to my question.I want to execute a batch file using "scheduled tasks", andI want to prevent the "windows console" from becoming visible.I have tried adding a "-b" (background) to the end of the command line, but the console still flashes up on the screen for a second. Is there a way to totally prevent the "windows console" from becoming visible. Thanks,Gary
Scubar Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 theres two options, first is using CMDOW and the second option is to use NirCmd
GST1 Posted September 14, 2005 Author Posted September 14, 2005 Steve,Thanks for the quick reply. I will look at both and decide which to use.I can't believe there isn't a way in DOS to hide the console window when running a script or batch job. Thanks again, Gary
