Bill Gates can be really confusing ! I have Windows Vista, but it says you need a minimum of 256 MB of RAM. So I decided to give up and get more RAM. I checked the Installer notes it comes with an it says "In this release of "Longhorn" versions of Windows, you will be unable to install mass storage drivers by using the Load driver option on computers with less than 256 MB of memory. To work around this problem, add the additional drivers to the Windows Preinstallation Environment (Windows PE) before running Setup. Refer to the Windows Automated Installation Kit for more details about adding drivers to Windows PE." It says you can "work around this problem" so I'm guessing you can install it. I don't understand how to install it now

Ya microsoft can be confusing like that some times but not to worry!, from what i make of that u should be purfectly able to install windows vista! , tell me how u like it! and whats ur favorite part?

So how can I install it without the ram upgrade?

What that means is you cant install 3rd party raid/sata controllers with less than 256mb ram... if you use IDE HDD's on your onboard IDE Channels (the ones on the motherboard) then you can continue installation, but id HIGHLY reccomend the ram upgrade regardless as your system will run much smoother

id only suggest trying out windows vista on 512mb ram at least (It really is a ram hogger)

You mean on the BIOS screen right? The computer I'm using won't let into it for so reason. I hit Delete and it shows to either open XP or use a recovory thing.
