redder Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 We can change the fonts in the windows notepad program but how can you change the colors of the background and fonts?? I would like to keep using Notepad and not change to another program, is there some way to change the colors of the background and fonts??
MHz Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 Text files in Notepad support black text on a white background. Notepad does not support Rich Text Format. You may want to use Wordpad? Wordpad supports Rich Text Format. The RTF file is saved as a binary file, with stores the formatting that you have applied. Files created with Notepad are not binary and can be easily viewed and edited by any DOS or Windows environment.

I don't want to change the formatting of the text so that it will be saved in the text file, what I want is to change the colors of the notepad program itself. The only way I've exprimented would be to change the color settings on windows, but that would change the color settings for every program which uses a box for text and others.
