DNS server in windows 2003 standard

OK so...

I have a windows box, i want it to be the dns server so i have some control over a few things. my question is this..

I know how to tell windows to 2003 be a DNS server.

I know how to tell my workstations to use my win2k3 server as tehir dns servers..

But where , if anywhere, do i tell windows what my real isp's dns servers are , or do i?

Doesn't the 2003 machine need to query a real dns server ?

let me say something real quick:

* I do NOT host a domain on this network.

If i host DNS on this network though, i can control name resoultion.. i.e if somebody goes to www.myspace.com i can redirect it to http://192.168.1.x and hos a website "not allowed" etc..

Also i believe my webblocker/firewall service requires me to be running a DNS server on the local machine

Go to add or remove programs -> Add or remove components -> Network Services -> Domain Name Systems(dns)

Then just go to dns management under administrative tools

You can add forwarders to query external DNS Servers otherwise they will just query the root servers
