Tarun Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 I was wondering if there's a list of mods and such that Msfn has installed for their forums and possibly links to go with?I've seen several sites where the mods and such have special colors in their names and other nice tweaks/mods. Finally being able to get my site back up I thought I'd ask about the mods and such.
Martin L Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 we have auto pm if topic is moved, closed. Country flag mod. more i dont know
prathapml Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Those, and Welcome Panel on Index mod.The user-group coloring is done via the ACP itself, no mods needed for it. Not too many mods other than these, i think. Probably thats one reason why its very fast, coz otherwise too many mods will slow down the board.
Tarun Posted September 6, 2005 Author Posted September 6, 2005 Any idea where some of those mods can be found?
prathapml Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 http://mods.invisionize.com/index.phpTry that site Tarun, pretty much every useful mod will be found there. But hey! Thats for Invision! Are you gonna use phpBB? In that case, say so and we'll try identifying where similar mods can be found.

Martin L Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 From IPB Version License Changes This document outlines the various license changes between IPB 1.3 and IPB 2.0.3IPB 2.0.1 to IPB 2.1.0These versions of Invision Power Board require a purchased license to run. An encoded trial version is available with hard-coded limits.not really legal to use 2.0.1 without purchasing it. you can check if someone has a valid license: www.domain.com/?ipscheck=1 if it displays a number it's most of the time valid, if it produces --,-- or something like that it's not licensed.
Tarun Posted September 8, 2005 Author Posted September 8, 2005 That's interesting, because forum.maxthon.com is running v2.0.1(Trial) that has no limitations.Upon researching this, there was a time (for a few hours or days) that IPB released 2.0.1 trial that had no limits or anything and was completely free.IPB 2.1 looks awesome.I've seen forums that actually mimic IPB, right down to the icons that are free too. I'm testing one out now.

Tarun Posted September 8, 2005 Author Posted September 8, 2005 (edited) Tarun, do you have 2.0.1 currently? Or where did you get it from....I downloaded it from their site (IPB site) a long time ago and had it backed up. They don't let people even download IPB trials from what I can tell. The new site is like.. Whoa. I've seen forums that actually mimic IPBOh, thats surprising. Linkie to the developer's site?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>If I find it again I'll link you.
