Sup Matt... did some tinkering and found a feasable answer to your problem. Open the cmd prompt > click in the very top left of the window where it says C:\ > properties > check QuickEdit mode under Edit Options. Save it for future use. Now all you have to do is use ctrl + c anywhere in windows and copy something into memory and then in the command window click the right mouse button once and it'll auto paste what's in memory. Not ctrl + v, but easier then right click > paste. Hope this helps.

Nope, you can only use quickedit or context menu as ringfinger said...

Customizable shell will be introduced with Vista family.

Thanks for the notes. I was looking for this, either a positive or negative 100% answer. I knew of quickedit is reason for quoting my post; I am not sure if ringfinger understood what I meant. Thanks everyone for your helps

I did a lil googling around for cmd prompt replacement. Haven't tried anything yet but the results seem very promising.

Ex:

http://www.google.com/search?q=command+pro...=utf-8&oe=utf-8

Edit:

Success!! :thumbup 4Nt - this has ctrl+v for paste and sounds very advanced but isn't free.

Console: small and free, but no ctrl+v. However middleclick can be used for paste

Thanks alot for your findings. I'm looking into 4nt :)

Works great! I haven't researched to find the extra features it provides, but the ctrl+v is very nice to have. Consistency like that should exists in all apps :)
