andru Posted September 5, 2005 Share Posted September 5, 2005 i have just had my computer back from a repair and the manufacturar has put me down as C:\Documents and Settings\Mr. A ???????.So when i download things they get to be put intoC:\Documents and Settings\Mr. A ??????\Desktop\.How do i change my name in this folder to just "Andrew".I went through the registry and changed all item concerning my surname to andrew and that totally screwed up my system that i had to do a restore.Its not a big problem its just i would rather have it set up the way i want to.Can it be done Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Take ownership of all files in the Mr. A ??????? folders you want keeping and copy them to your new Andrew folders.
