realized Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 (edited) I want the firewall enabled on all my XP SP2 machines, but yet i want it to allow ALL traffic from LAN machines.Incase i want to for example remote desktop, scan my network, or do anything else.How do i:a) Enable the windows firewall on all clientsB) allow all LAN traffic by default..and maybe c) Enable remote desktop. Lus Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 hi if u wana use group policy for enabaling Remote Desktop do it :GP\computer comfiguration\administrative tamplates\network\network connection\windows firewall\domain policy\basic mode :--> windows firewall:allow Remote Desktop Exception Enable it and type the IP address that will connect to this computer.example : 192.16812.1,192.168.168.12.2 <-- i allow anly 2 computer trafic exceptet by firewall for using Remote Desktop Advance Mode :-->windows firewall: Define Port exception enable it, click show,in show contents windows click add iwana allow telnet connection or other service that u know which port dose it work,> port:TCP|UDP:Scope:Eanbed|disabled:portname < 23:TCP:192.168.12.1,192.168.12.5:enabled:telnet
