webdiva Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 I’ve got a Windows 2003 server (standalone) running IIS. The default website sits at c:\inetpub\wwwroot\home\The server is using an IP multicast protocol and has two (2) LAN IP addresses (192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.100). If I open up a browser on the server and browse to http://localhost/home/default.htm I see the website just fine.If I replace “localhost” with any of the following, 127.0.0.1, 192.168.1.2, or 192.168.1.100, I am prompted for a username/password. Interestingly, none of the local accounts work for this login prompt. What I’ve tried so far:1) Confirmed read/execute permissions for iusr account on \inetpub\wwwroot\home\2) Tried specifying an IP in the default website properties (instead of leaving as all unassigned)3) Tried removing the second IP (192.168.1.100) from the multicast protocol. None of these things have resolved the problem.
chilifrei64 Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 leave as all unassigned(unless you feel the need to specify otherwise) and under the advanced portion. leave it at port 80 and leave the host header blankas for the permissions.. Select directoryt security and select authentication and access control. Verify that anonymous access is granted using the IUSE_Servername and the correct password.. (you should just have to check the box... i have never had to type anyting in) and then make sure NONE of the other boxes are checked on this page. Lemme know if this works???/
