How'd you migrate all mail folders, messages, settings & the contacts address book...

From one installation of XPSP2 to another. What are the files that I'd need to copy across to the new install?

It's not exactly what you asked, but when you make an mst of office 2003, you can add accounts to Outlook 2003. It's not Outlook Express, but maybe you can do something with it.

From what I remember you can only export the contacts but not the messages..when using the exportfunction that is.

Open up a windows explorer window next to the opened OE and just pull them files over from OE to explorer and they will be converted...that goes for contacts, mails..and so on...then just revert procedure on the new install.

EDIT: when reading more carefully I see you are doing an UA...not applicable then I guess :blushing:

Well, all the outlook express mails are definitely stored somewhere.... In some files.... Thats what I'm searching for.

Outlook stores its mails in a *.PST file in the user profile I believe.

Similarly, Outlook Express (in XPSP2) stores its mails..... but where?

Outlook express files have the .dbx extension. Under settings in Outlook Express you can set where they are stored, this will tell you the location that they are currentely in.

Hope this helps
