x700 or x800GT

I would like to know which is best to pick out of the x800GT and x700. we all know these are ATi Radeon Cards. the x800GT just came out a couple days ago here in north america and x700 not too long ago. as far as i know the x800GT is supposed to compete with the GeForce 6600GT. i have seen benchmarks with the x800GT but the x700 gets more fps in Half-Life 2 it seems. Source Of x700 BenchMarks.Source Of x800GT BenchMarks. the x800GT has 8 pixel pipelines, not sure if you can unlock it to 16, but ATi confirmed it can be used for CrossFire. the x700 wont be able to be put into crossfire. im not sure what to pick here. someone wanna help me pick?

Pros:

+ Uses RADEON X850 XT PE core

+ Phenomenal overclocking

+ Unprecedented performance in its class

+ Single slot design

+ Low speed adjustable smart fan

+ Good package

+ Cheap

Cons:

- Outdated bundle

- Memory OC could be higher

anyone know the pros and cons for the x700?

well the x700 is worse than the 6600gt

why would u think that the x700 would be better than the x800 tho?

not sure, maybe because it has a newer core? hehe, or i think it does, i remember reading it somewhere.
