duhu Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 Ok...ive modded shell32.dll extracted from the I386 Xp surce and then ive makecabit but when i test the wondows it seems that nothing changes so i decided to use replacer to replace my modified shell32.dll , and explorer.exe but i dont know how to make it to run silently in my batch apps setup. Can someone give me an example or something on how to silently replace the files during the batch apps setup withot any user interaction.thxsrry 4 my engdoohoodogg
Scubar Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 im guessing your trying to replace the icons in the shell32.dll if thats the case then you can just use Resource Hacker. replace the icons and bitmaps in the file, save it, then Modifype it, makecab it and put it back in the I386 folder on your unattended cd.
duhu Posted August 12, 2005 Author Posted August 12, 2005 Exactly thats the problem....because i think that the hotfixes restore the modified shell to the default by using your method.Itried that method but is not working, so I wanna try with Replacer.
