What error are you getting? (got to device manager and see if it shows any in the cd-rom properties)

r u using a laptop or an external cd rom? coz some are not suppported during installation..the same happened to me when i upgraded to from win98se to xp..whe i reboot the system i cannot continue the installation because cd rom is not supported. tell us more detail about your problem...

are you auto installing Nero? if so add this to your reg tweak file

it is showing a driver error (driver conflict) in device manager

if i am trying to truble shoot it showing damaged registry :)

if you remove

"UpperFilters"=-
"LowerFilters"=-

in the

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}]

that should fix your cd driver problem
