For log off removal

start-> run -> gpedit.msc -> User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Start Menu and Taskbar -> "Remove Log off from start menu"

Set this setting to enable

For MRU

http://windowsxp.mvps.org/mrublaster.htm and run it as a task to clear them at intervals.
