Symantec Client Security 3.0 (Corporate) is a suite of security products that integrates protection against viruses, security risks such as adware and spyware, as well as blended threats at the client/server level. it includes:

• Symantec Corporate Edition 10.0.0.359

• Symantec Client Firewall 8.6.0.80

• Symantec Client Firewall Administrator 8.6.0.80

• Symantec System Center 10.0.0.359

As I was frustrated that Symantec Client Security 3.0 not include the AntiSpam part, I integrated it. Here bellow the How to...

Also I draw one's inspiration from oaom NIS 2004 Pro

and used the evilvoice How to 7zip and/or keyotime How to make a 7-Zip Switchless Installer

Very Important!!! You must install Norton AntiSpam and activate it before Symantec Client Security. Otherwise, you will not be able to inegrate it.

If Symantec Client Security is allready installed, Uninstall it first.

Here we go...

Assuming you've installed and activated your Norton AntiSpam

If you open your original C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ folder, you'll find CfgWiz.exe (we will use this file twice).

Also, the activated file symlcsys.dll is found in:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\CCPD-LC\symlcsys.dll

1. CfgWiz.exe

A. Right click on "CfgWiz.exe" and select "ADD to Archive" (RAR)

B. On the "General" tab, in the field "Archive name", type CfgWiz_1.exe

. Then, choose these parameters:

- Archive format: RAR

- Compression method: Best

- Archiving options: Create SFX archive and Create solid archive

. Go to "Comment" tab. in "Enter a comment manually" box, Copy

;The comment below contains SFX script commands

Path=%CommonProgramFiles%\Symantec Shared\
SavePath
Silent=1
Overwrite=1

Then, choose "OK".

C. Now, create a new folder in any location on your hard disk and name it ABC, for example.

Copy CfgWiz.exe from its location and paste it to ABC. Eliminate the read-only property of CfgWiz.exe, then rename it to xCfgWiz.exe

D. Inside the folder ABC, create a new folder and name it CCPD-LC

Copy symlcsys.dll from its location and paste it into the new folder ABC\CCPD-LC

If you can't copy symlcsys.dll from its location and paste it easily, then open your Task Manager and terminate the process "symlcsvs.exe" first.

E. Now, open WinRAR. Go to: File --> Browse for folder. Browse to the new folder ABC.

. Highlight both CCPD-LC and xCfgWiz.exe

. Go to: Commands --> Add files to archive, The "Archive name and parameters" dialog box appears. On the "General" tab, press the button "Profiles..." and choose "Default Profile".

. Still On the "General" tab, in the field "Archive name", type CfgWiz.exe

Then, choose these parameters:

- Archive format: RAR

- Compression method: Best

- Archiving options: Create SFX archive and Create solid archive

. Go to "Comment" tab. in "Enter a comment manually" box, Copy

;The comment below contains SFX script commands

Path=%CommonProgramFiles%\Symantec Shared\
SavePath
Silent=1
Overwrite=1

Then, choose "OK".

Now, you should have

CfgWiz_1.exe archive which contain the original CfgWiz.exe

and

CfgWiz.exe archive which contain xCfgWiz.exe and CCPD-LC\symlcsys.dll

We will use the later.

2. Additional files

Download the here bellow SymAS_Config_7zS_Serial_Activat_files.rar which contains:

Config.txt

7zS.sfx

SymAS_SerialKey.reg

SymAS_Activate.au3

3. Make a 7-Zip Switchless Installer

A. Make a folder (NAS in example) to copy all of the Norton AntiSpam installation files and folders to.

Replace the original file CfgWiz.exe in NAS\setup\symlt\common\symshare by CfgWiz.exe archive.

B. Select all files and folders inside NAS and right click on any file.

C. Select "Add to archive..." (see keyotime How to make a 7-Zip Switchless Installer)

-in name, put SymAS04.7z

-archive format: 7z

-Compression Level: Ultra

-Compression Method: LZMA

-Dictionary Size: doesnt really matter

-Word Size: Doesnt really matter

-Check "create solid archive"

NOTHING ELSE IS CHECKED.

-Add the downloaded config.txt and 7zS.sfx to NAS folder

-Open Command Windows in NAS folder and type:

copy /b 7zs.sfx + config.txt + SymAS04.7z SymAS04.exe

That"s it

4. CD-Key

You'll find in the here bellow downloaded file the SymAS_SerialKey.reg file

_Replace the xs with your key, but without typing dashes

5. Program Activation

You'll find in the here bellow downloaded file the SymAS_Activate.au3 file

6. Installation

You may launch first the SymAS_SerialKey.reg file

Then run SymAS04.exe

Then run CfgWiz_1.exe

and finally run SymAS_Activate.au3

Here the WPI script

prog[pn]=['Symantec AntiSpam']
desc[pn]=['Symantec AntiSpam']
regb[pn]=['%cdrom%\\Software\\SymantecAntiSpam\\SymAS_SerialKey.reg']
cmd1[pn]=['%cdrom%\\Software\\SymantecAntiSpam\\SymAS04.exe']
cmd2[pn]=['%cdrom%\\Software\\SymantecAntiSpam\\CfgWiz_1.exe']
cmd3[pn]=['%cdrom%\\Software\\SymantecAntiSpam\\SymAS_Activate.exe']
dflt[pn]=['yes']
cat[pn]=['Security']
ordr[pn]=[200]
pn++

Now you can install Symantec Client Security 3

Here the Norton AntiSpam inegrated to Symantec Client Security 3 images when is corretly installed th_603_SCS_AS_Final.jpg

Enjoy
