Enable Windows Audio?

Featured Replies

I'm using an MSI K8N NEO 4 MB. All the drivers installed fine including the audio drivers. Strange thing is I have to go into "Sounds and Audio Devices Property" in Control Panel and manually check off "Enable Windows Audio". Then it forces me to reboot but when it comes back up Windows Audio is deselected again. Anyone have any tips?

From what I've read from your post is that your drivers are somewhat incompatible with Vista. Try using Windows XP compatibility option. Maybe that might help. Hope I can be some use for you. :D

Mine works fine. Did you use the drivers that were on MSI's site for your onboard? (I presume that's what you're using).

I'm also having the same problem. I have sound working, i.e. if I use windows media etc, but I don't get any windows sounds or msn messenger sounds either.
