hard drive probem

in the event viewer is shows some errors saying that my hdd had a bad block, i have 6 of these in there all right next to each other. i also ran the hitcachi fitness tool and it said that i have bad sectors. what sould/can i do about this? or will i have to replace the hdd. i am also getting alot of random feezes.

Warning:

I would run more than just a bad sector test. Run all hd tests. Also do these tests every month if you suspect failure. Tempature does play a role. Sometimes bad sectors can lead to other problems.

its in a laptop and sometimes i touch the bottom of the laptop, right where the hdd is, and it burning like crazy, speedfan gets it close to 70C sometimes

also i ended up just reinstalling windows b/c i tried all last night to make it work

im pretty freed up now

my OS part is 3.5 gigs out of 7.33 and has all of my installed crap there

my 2nd part is the sims 2, i didnt want it to frag my widows stuff b/c its gets fragged easily-still need to install but takes around 3gigs of its 4.41 part

my 3rd part is backups, 4.55gigs out of 25.5
