Ivanov Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 (edited) Hi, ppl! From 1 month ago I have trouble with win update and any XP version (SP1 or SP2, nLited or not). Very often when I open windowsupdate.microsoft.com my IE crash, doesnt responding and I must kill it. When I click on "Automatic Update" tav in System Properties, the window not responding, too. I am sure - I havent spyware and viruses on my pc. Sounds real crazy and stupid... but I have this problem from the moment, when I change my mainboard (ASRock P4i65PE). Please, help me!That`s my System Properties when click "Automatic Update": Edited August 2, 2005 by Ivanov
chilifrei64 Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 for starters i would run from the command line sfc.exe /scannow this will verify your system filesI would also check that your automatic updates service, BITS Service and DCOM and COM services are started.
