However I cannot install it to my pc because of some conflicts with the mainboard controlers! however windows xp sp1 pro works just great!winxp pro and home come with different driver packs? chilifrei64 Posted July 29, 2005 Share Posted July 29, 2005 This should not be the case.. exactly what hardware are you trying to install?Have you searched the manufacturers site for the most up to date drivers?Home and Pro will be compatible with the same set of drivers. I can only boot in safe mode! when I setup winXP PRO sp1 everything is ok!I take a look at the device manager of both installationswin xp home the Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller is missing! that's why it doesn't boot!at the xp pro setup the Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller in present! any help?
