drivers conflicts with xp home and xp pro

I got windows xp sp2 home edition. However I cannot install it to my pc because of some conflicts with the mainboard controlers!

however windows xp sp1 pro works just great!

winxp pro and home come with different driver packs?


This should not be the case.. exactly what hardware are you trying to install?

Have you searched the manufacturers site for the most up to date drivers?

Home and Pro will be compatible with the same set of drivers.

the problem is that:

when I setup winXP home sp2 at the point when the setup ends as a result I have a blue screen! I can only boot in safe mode!

when I setup winXP PRO sp1 everything is ok!

I take a look at the device manager of both installations

win xp home the Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller is missing! that's why it doesn't boot!

at the xp pro setup the Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller in present!

any help?
