I'm not sure if this is a bug or by design.

Well... as you can see above, I just quoted myself from the July Desktops thread. After having clicked on the "Quote+" button, I came over here and started a new topic. The forum remembers that I quoted myself from the other thread and dumps it here.

I can see how this might be by design, so you can go around "collecting" quotes from different threads, but at the same time, it's not all that efficient. It would make sense if the quotes were collected while you're still in the same thread, but once you leave the thread, the stored messages are released.

Just curious if this was meant to be or not.

Good question. A better place to ask would be the IPB forums, as they make the software.

What you thought is true - its by design and is meant to be that way.

Its not a bug, I doubt that InvisionPower is going to remove this facility in v2.1...
