Hi every body, i am trying to modify krnl files (ntkrnlmp.exe, ntkrnlpa.exe ntoskrnl.exe)

I have replaced then into driver.cab, sp1.cab and sp2 cab and ntkrnlmp.ex_, ntkrnlpa.ex_ ntoskrnl.ex_ into i386 folder.

When I try to install i've got this error after (ASR AT THE BEGINNING WITH the BLUE SCREEN, no error blue screen):

Can't load \i386\ntkrnlmp.exe

error code 14

nad the install stop.

Perhaps any CRC check, any ideas???

thanks.

All you have to do is reboot,to let the changes take effect

Code 14

This device cannot work properly until you restart your computer. (Code 14)

To restart your computer now, click Restart Computer.

Solution button: Restart Computer

To resolve this error code, shut down Windows, shut down your computer, and then turn it back on.

Currently, XPCREATE does not have a mechanism for updating these files. You could try using the FILECD\I386 directory, and turning off the DOCABS option, but as to BSODs using modified files ... not really my cup of tea ...
