hermit Posted November 24, 2001 Author Posted November 24, 2001 hi its me againthx for the suggestioni did try to delete the apci thingy and when i reboot...windows didn't notice a new hardware and found nothing...as i said before..though windows said that one is enabled...i think windows is using the "standard computer" one instead...after deleting that acpi thingy..i tried to install the "NT APM/legacy support", since i don't haf that installed....(even when i turned shown hidden device on of cuz)...and when i reboot...it said i can't initalize the driver...or something of that sort....so there's a problem with it....so now still no solutionone thing that i realized...before not only does my windows shuts my comp automatically...i also haf standby option..when u go to start menu shut down...now that option is grayed out!!!!!so bsany solution except format?thx
Drewdatrip Posted November 25, 2001 Posted November 25, 2001 Dude im sorry to tell you...but your computer is tripin! big time...you could try to repair by pressing F8 on start up...but i doubt that will help. I severly recommend a fresh new format ..otherwise your just going to keep having more and more problems. It wont take long just backup your stuff (on zip,cd, or other harddrive...and just start from scratch...it will make like a whole lot easyer for yougoodluck-drew
