Patroclus Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 My computer recently started (today) shutting completely off at random times. Now I can barely make it to the login screen before it shuts off. No warnings or anything just off. I haven't made any hardware changes and no major software changes. I'm running WinXP SP2 Corp (Nemesis4) and hadn't any problems before today. I need help!Thanks...

PUnitBabyDaddy Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Doing that right now...will let you know the outcome.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Patroclus thanks you for the help. We did find that it was a psu issue and have swapped for a good one. I have a question though, the psu had only about 6 months of use prior to this event so is it like a fuse or something that can be repaired or is he better off buying a new one?
firefoxthebomb Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 probably a weak resistor or capacitor in that psu, just buy a new one.
