Grake Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Hi,So i've made this unattended XPCD, but one 1 of my 3 computers I don't have a DVD player. So I can't install it on that computer. I was wondering if I put the files on 1 of the partition and install xp on another partition using the files, would that work? or is there any other way to do it too?thnx
mjc Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 you can use BartPE to copy the files via the network to the hard drive, then start the install from within BartPE.are you using cdimage.exe to create your ISO?
Grake Posted July 19, 2005 Author Posted July 19, 2005 yes, and thanks for the reply. I'm not familiar with it, so i'll read up on it and i'll be back lol
mjc Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 cdimage.exe or cdimagegui or nlite have an option to write duplicate files only once, which might decrease the size of your ISO. if you can decrease it enoiugh you might not need a DVD.otherwise, simply use a BartPE disk to launch the install.
