Hello?

I'm using WinXP-Home, and I just downloaded Windows security

updates and completed the install.

The system's asking me to reboot, but I'm in the middle of running

an application that I want to keep it in its running state. If I reboot,

that running application will not come back to its running state and

I'm concerned about it.

So, is there a way that I can reboot the system and come back to

the present desktop setting with any running applications still running?

Thanks.

Hi firefoxthebomb and chilifrei64,

Thanks for your feebacks. Well, actually, I've been post-

poning the reboot by keep clicking on the "reboot later"

button when the warning message had popped. But, I

ended up rebooting after coming back from a hybernated

state as the IE browser was acting weirdly :)

MS is weird about having to reboot....almost everytime you install something. Something about Linux that always got to me was that I could reinstalling drivers, updating software, recompiling the gosh darn kernel and it would maybe ask to reboot once...if that.

2Suryad: It is because PFR concept. However it is sometimes great - for example in corporations you need 2 restart to fully patch system including office etc.. (first for agent, second are hotfixes)
