when i use the USSF for ms antispyware it says:

try to retreive MSI file from temp folder during installation

where is the temp folder?

C:\Documents and Settings\GL3nt\Local Settings\Temp

replace GL3nt with your user account name, and make sure u enable show hidden files best thing to do is to delete everything in there and then run your software, A random folder name is created each time you run it

It would be easier to perform an Admin install

setup.exe /a

If you want a better installer indentifier, try CMenu.

Sometimes. Some programs make constant use of the temp directory. Though, I do manual tidy up, of empty folders etc.

yes u can , u can even delete them all as they are temp files

Why do you need to go into the temp directory, in the first place? You can just use the /a switch, on the installer. The installer will unpack, to a location, of your choice.

As for tempory files, programs may read and write, from that location. So needlessly removing files, can upset them. This is why the temp folder is hidden from the users sight.
