.msi installation files

I cannot launch .msi files using windows explorer, it claims nothing is assigned to the .msi.

Yet in folder options it is assigned as it should be.

Using Total Commander to launch the .msi installer i have no problem what so ever.

What windows 2000 services are bound to the funcion of this?

How do i reset / reinstall support for .msi?
