Why would you want the MS Java? It's no longer supported and not even part of SP1a or SP2 (I think).

Download the Sun JRE and you'll be good to go.

Well if he is like me I need the MS one because the sun one will not work with our propietary software, so you can find it HERE and once you install it you can run critical updates and it will find any updates available of it if needed.

Wow...MS has their own Java version which is incompatible with the original developers of Java? Does anybody here not find that disturbing?

LOL M$ got into a big knock down fight over java and discontinued it

also to the other poster I have found many things that don't work with sun java....

cause they are looking for M$java

Yeah, that was some time ago. In fact, Service Pack 1a (as opposed to SP1) for XP was released for the sole intention of removing MS Java due to the lawsuit slapped on them.

Wow I didnt know that. Its kinda amazing to see that people are still writing software requiring the M$ version of Java...
