Aegis Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 A REPORT claimed that when senior business executives are given high tech gadgets they're completely clueless about what to do with them. You'd think that the senior execs would be able to figure out how to bung an Ethernet cable to connect their notebooks into a hotel's system, but it seems the captains of industry are incapable of even doing that without support.Further, because these people are constantly jetting around the globe, they apparently expect IT support to be on call for them constantly, even when it's the middle of the night. We can imagine the conversation."I'm in Tokyo. My notebook doesn't work.""Er... who is that? Don't you know it's three in the morning?""It's the CEO you blithering buffoon. Give me some help, and give me some help now, I can't access the gambling site I usually do corporate network."Later. "Ah, what you need to do is to switch your notebook on, sir.""Where is the switch?" And so on, no doubt.Full Article: here
