learningprocess Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 Currently I have found out that I have some unuse port opening, which might cause my pc to get attack... however i have no idea on how to disable it, so can someone guide me on this enable and unbaling ports?TQ!
dman Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 (edited) Ports don't really exist by themselves, a program needs to open them. So if you have open ports, they are being used by something. It is not always obvious what the purpose is, like port 5000 used by network device PlugnPlay for example.Use a firewall to keep out unwanted traffic. Edited July 4, 2005 by dman
