1boredguy Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 (edited) i thought the 1st one changes logon to classic... doesn't do that for me though. so what does it do?; Disable Welcome Screen[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]"NoWelcomeScreen"=dword:00000001;Disable Welcome Screen and uses Classic Logon[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]"LogonType"=dword:00000000any more detailed info (than the tiny descriptions) would be appreciated! eirogge Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 the first one disables the welcome screen in the new logon and the second one switches to the classic logon look.
