Active Directory Audit

We have to do an audit of our AD

This is the problem i've never done it and don't know where to start.

I basically just need some advice about format and such, can you use an app for this that compiles a report??

I have already documented all our Policies and OU Structures but would still like to have it formalized.

ANybody here done this before?

Groups Rights assigned to groups, members of those groups ect...
