jeweekes Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 (edited) I have been attempting this unattended install thing and am having no luck. Now I am down to "Line 35 of the INF file \i386\winnt.sif is invalid. Setup cannot continue." I can not find anything wrong; in fact line 35 is the last line, so I guess it's looking for something that's not there...Any help will be greatly appreciated.Oh, and I have attached the winnt.sif. Winnt.sif Edited June 17, 2005 by jeweekes
JuMz Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 What I would do, is create a new winnt.sif using the setupmgr.exe from the deployment tools in the windows xp cd. fill in the respective information, then compare the files. should work from there
DonDamm Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 jeweekes, I noticed a couple of small things. First you are right, there are only 34 lines anyway and the first one doesn't count!!!I did notice that you didn't put the path in quotes and my winnt.sif files have a few more lines to them. Here is an example of a recent one I did, but adapted to your info.Nevertheless, I didn't immediately see why it didn't process, but maybe it was in the extra lines. Read it through and you'll see what I mean.winnt_DD01.sif
BrandonS_Mil Posted June 18, 2005 Posted June 18, 2005 First, jeweekeswhile i think it is great that you asked for help and provided you winnt.sif file for review....I WOULD NOT SUGEST YOU GIVE OUT YOUR CD KEY !!!If that is not your real key then nevermind.
jeweekes Posted June 20, 2005 Author Posted June 20, 2005 All information was changed to protect the innocent!!!
