Real Alternative will allow you to play RealMedia files without having to install the official RealPlayer. You do need a media player that is capable of playing RealMedia files. The included Media Player Classic supports it. Supported are RealAudio (.ra .rpm), RealVideo (.rm .ram .rmvb), RealText (.rt), and ReadPix (.rp). Not fully supported are: Streaming smil files (.smi .smil) and Realmedia embedded in webpages.

You'll get full Real support and Quicktime support... contains only the files you need (for instance, no MPC, this is handy because it saves time during install) and fully unattended.

Unattended installation:

Run the setup with the command-line parameter -MakeUnattended to create an unattended setup. A wizard called "Unattended Install maker" will appear. Follow the instructions given in the wizard.

Lets hope that some of the other software houses take a leaf out of Realalts book. You have always been able to install Realalt silently - but this takes it up into another league.

If some of the other manufacturers take it onboard it will save all that AutoIt and ISS file mullarky and making goddamn customised installers and make life a lot easier.

I use this switch for the latest Klite mega codec pack too and it works just perfect.

Can this be done with other programs too?
