hey ppl, i was just wondering how i would go about this, i read the UBCD customization guide but thats only for floppy images. Since MiniPE is an ISO file, should i extract the boot file from the ISO and then extract the contents to another directory or should i just leave it in the ISO format? i saw under the bootloaders section that theres and ISO for GRUB i might just try and see how they did it. any responses will help me :)

it will not work for the .iso file. Extract all file of the .iso (root to root!) and config a new boot entry in UBCD, use the boot sector of the .iso(a file with 2048 bytes in size) for boot image(no emulation).

thats what i was thinkin but i might of found an easier way of doing it. im gonna try just adding the iso itself to the images directory and editing the main menu file, because thats the way the grub iso and the Offline NT password changer is set up. if that doesnt work ill try the way u exaplained.

i think UBCD runs off of IsoLinux if im not mistaken, so it should work cuz there are a few ISO files on the cd that you can boot to, and i love the option where you can install the UBCD to your HDD! i should prolly use an alternate bootloader that i can password protect that partition so everyone cant get into my computer :)

i lied about the install to hdd option there isnt one :} i though there was... also i cant get it to load it correctly, when i use memdisk with the iso it gets to the XP-esque loading screen and freezes, with memdisk and the extracted iso it says "CDBOOT: Error Code 5" and with IsoLinux it says cant find ntloader, and with isolinux and the iso it says invalid kernel. can any1 help me with this?

Hi

i'm sorry , but is there any possibility to run an "iso" file frome UBCD? because an iso file is a 32bit file and can't be executed frome a DOS or Linux based boot CD!! am I wrong?
