Hi anybody..., i am new here. I have little trouble in my Excell application in any version (2000, XP, 2003). Have all of you to try @SUM function in this application with more than 18 digits. eg. (3512641584565789200 + 3512641584589852100 + 3452745584568784300). I never get the right result. why this problem can be haven. I work at my company always operate with excell, i sure excell is a microsft better program. can anybody try help me.

really. i just checked, and it really sums incorrectly. have you tried formating the cells accordingly.

i can do anything. I've power or times or min it with my teori about numeric but realy, now i'm can't input last 5 ditit with any number. but i want know what the library file used to count this. but how can i try it. may be someone want tell to me.

I don't think Excel supports numbers with more than 15 significant digits (and the sum function may make an error in the 15th if the sum then has more than 15 digits)). Your numbers have 17 significant digits (omitting the two zeros at the end)

Somewhat clumsy work around: enter the first 14 digits of each number in one column, replacing the others by zeros and sum that. Enter the last set of numbers in the next column, sum those, then you will need to add the two sums outside Excel.

10478028753724200000 225600 <--- sums correctly done by Excel

10478028753724200000 + 225600 = 10478028753724425600
