Making Defualt Icon Size 48x48

i was wondering if theres any way u can set the icons to be 48x48 with the same for the spacing so its default for when windows boots.

funny you should ask that cause i have removed the 48x48 icons from shell32.dll and still the icons resize unless i change the view , is there a way to disable 48x48?
