Moving firefox bookmarks

Hi

I have my IE Favorite dir on d:\drive when i install XP i run a reg files to point to d:\favorites which works fine and when i add a new favorite it stores it to d:\favorites which is what i want so as i wont loose any when installing

The problem is i now use Firefox v1.04 i wont to point firefox again to d:\drive to use my old favorites i have looked in about:config but nothing there about favorites or bookmarks as there are called in Firefox

can anybody please help

Open Firefox click on File -> Import and it will import your Favorites stored on D: .

Yes i know that but when i bookmark a page using Firefox i wont it to save to my d:\drive folder

I use this to share them on a network, just change it to D:\folder\bookmarks.html

Open Firefox and type in the address about:config.

Right click on the page and select ‘New->String’.

Enter browser.bookmarks.file and hit ok.

Now you can enter \\Network\Folder\bookmarks.html as the value.

Once this is set, restart Firefox. Thats it
