ccullen
Quick question for you guys. I am the Webmaster of my company's intranet, and in our Forms Library and throughout the rest of the intranet, I link to forms created and maintained in MS Word/Excel. In doing that, when a user clicks on the link, the form opens up in a new window using target="_blank". However, the document opens up in Word, but using IE as the main program with Excel/Word underneath. This limits the functions that can be performed by users on that particlar file. At present, the users have to take the file, save it to their local drive, then open Word/Excel, and open the file from there in order to have full functions.Basically, what I want to know is if there is any kind of an HTML tag that would tell IE to open the file up in the actual program instead of underneath IE. Any help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.CCC.
