I use Eraser myself but I haven't the shellex enabled though I never had a problem with it when I did. Make sure you have the latest version. Make sure as well that your system files are up to date. Install Gape's Service Pack and maybe you'll be able to enable the shellex again

A tip : if you want to at least to be able to erase the recycle bin through its context menu, merge this :

It does not call on the Dll and won't crash your system. You 'll still be able to erase your bin conveniently.

Once again I appreciate your input. You were on the edge of early on with the context menu entries in the registry. I was a few steps behind you I think, but that was because of the learning curve and you already having the knowledge and me doing the research to learn about those particular registry entries.
