Hey

Im using WMware Workstation 5 for testing my unattended winxp-install-disc. I've created a new virtual machine and i've made it boot correctly from the cd-image. But when it in the installs says: Starting windows it just tells me that there wasnt found any hdd-devices installed and press F3 to quit?

What can be done about that one? My "base-pc" is using a normal IDE-harddisk drive...

Yes i have enabled the Virtual drive and ive found the problem too. Just like when you are using a SATA-disc, you need a SATA-driver to intall during the windows install. Same problem here.

Im using a normal IDE-harddisk in my host computer and the host OS is WinXP Pro. Then i needed this SCSI-driver: http://www.vmware.com/download1/software/s...ver-1.2.0.0.flp

The driver is a floppy-image which can be added to your floppy-drive in WMware. Then normal procedure; Press F6 to install SCSI-driver, then press S to specify the driver.

And now it works:) but thanks for the idea about the virtual hdd!

Wuhtzu - sorry for asking when i found out my self!
