abu ryan Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 i have the OS is winxp pro +sp2all my partitions are NTFS file system i got problems with one of the partition which is chang to (RAW) file system so the windwos keeping restart ...and i removed the harddisk to connect it with other computer as slave to see ..i found that the C drive is getting RAW as file system type please if you have any solution for this one i need it ...i have also somtimes with other drive like D which is has the all profiles for user .... and i don't need to reformat the windwos ...just fix...please help me thanks
D.Celt Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 After a bit of googling, I found a reference to using a utility like partition magic to reset the partition & recover the files. Someone with better knowlege of PM will be able to tell you how.

[deXter] Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 First of all, from the other computer, run a chkdsk on your 1'st comps' drives (all partitions). Start -> Run -> chkdsk X: /F /V /X should do. (where X is the drive letter.) Do this for all the partitions of your 1st comps' drive.Next, convert the filesystem by using the command convert X: /FS:NTFS, where X is the drive letter of the partition you want to convert.
