eTRP Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 Greetings!I have been using nLite's application for making an unattended ISO of a Slipstreamed Windows XP SP2. My concern is that I would like to take a step further and instruct the installer to partition just 10 Gigabytes for the Windows XP Operating System and allocating the rest of the space for another partition, then moving the \Documents and Settings\ and \Program Files\ folder in it. So there would be a C:\ with only Windows XP in it and the rest of the files on D:\ such as \Documents and Settings\ \Temp\ \User\ \Program Files\ etc., If any of you have done this before or have a sample of something that I could examine, please do share, and I will also share it to others who want to have this done also. Thank you very much!
BrandonS_Mil Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 I could be wrong, but my IT team - US Army working with dell/Microsoft- said that you can only shift the my documents folder. the Documents & settings folder by Microsofts coding will not move.Don't know if that helps any....
Incroyable HULK Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 Yes you can do that with your winnt.sif BUT since the installation process only format the destination drive for WINDOWS, you'll have to make your partitions & format the D:\ drive BEFORE your unattended installation otherwise you'll get some errors during the installation process...
