May 12, 200521 yr Can anyone tell me how to put the my computer, my documents and my network places icons on the desktop of an XP computer using a policy.I can find the section on hiding them in group policy managment but not adding them.Also i've set the wallpaper to none in the policy but when the computer logs on or off i still get the original wallpaper flashing up is there a way to stop this in the policy.Thanks
May 13, 200521 yr For your first problem, Enable the policy "Force classic start menu" in User Configuration -> Administrative templates -> Start Menu and Taskbar.This will set your start menu to act and look like the start menu in Win2000, and puts the icons on the desktop.As for your second problem, wich policy are you using for that?
