2forza Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Hmm I was wondering... how people called their ua-cd.I have named my cd into: Windows XP Personal Edition 2005 ps: also was wondering how your OEM logo looks like
Martin Zugec Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 I am using build number as name - I got document (UAChanges.xls), where I write every change I made to my test medium. When there is huge list of changes, I create new build and distribute it to technicians... So my actual CD name is "0007"
Brando569 Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 im not technical or anything with mine since theyre for the main part for my own personal use, depending on what it is i pretty much use this naming template: <OS Name> <Service Pack #> EX. XP Pro SP2 and if i customized it in anyway i might just add "custom" at the end. short and simple.
LiquidSage Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 I use Liquidation or LiquidStreaming as the name of my UA themes
SiMoNsAyS Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 (edited) i use a CD+DVD combination.CD label is BioHaZaRD as i call my unattended "BioHaZaRD PRoJeCT"DVD label is DVD (i know, i know, i'm not that smart )edit: forgot to say that my oem logo looks like the biohazard logo at my sign.this shot shows my PE version of my uA so you can guess how mine looks (weird lol) Edited May 18, 2005 by SiMoNsAyS
rikgale Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 I use a naming convention as followsvXXPCDYwhere vX stand for the number of times I have rebuilt XP using nlite with update driver packs and hot fixes etc. And Y is the number of times I have made additions/changes to the files/installs in the $OEM$ folder. For example I am currentely using v4XPCD7, so it will be the 4th time I have rebuilt XP from the ground up with nlite and the 7th time I have altered the $OEM$ files for that XP build. Everytime I change the XP build the latest $OEM$ folder is coppied from the previous build and it's number is reset to 1I have no idea why I do it this way it just sort of evolved this way, but it a great way of linking back to the source files which are kept in similar numbered folders.A bit long winded but there we are!
