Sonic Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 Hi, all !I have Windows XP Pro SP2 (MSDN version).I have discover a small bug or limitation for sharing data, I think In fact, to get the Security tabs on folders I disable the "Easy sharing data" from folders' options (in french it's "Utiliser le partage de fichiers simple (recommandé)").After I go to gpedit.msc to remove the "Guest" account from the blacklist (that which prevents access to the pc by network), I enable guest account and set password. At this point all works fine, but after I want force guest login (in gpedit.msc there is an option) to view shared folder, so I activate the function and "Easy sharing" is come back so I lost the security tab on folders On WinServer 2k3 SP1, all works because there isn't option for "Easy sharing data" !Any ideas ? sorry for my language ... I'm french ...Goodbye.
